International Youth Day

Human Knot:
o Purpose: to develop leadership from within
o Time: 15-20 minutes
o Group number: 15 students
o Directions: have students get into a tight circle and hold two different
hands (not the hands right next to them). This should create a knot. Tell
students that they must NOT let go at any time. Tell students that they
must untangle themselves and make a circle holding hands. Remind them
NOT to let go. You may have to help them some, but try to allow them to
be the leaders.

Would you have been successful had you listened only to your
ideas?
What were the challenges? How did you overcome them?
Did you have a plan of action?
