Horizontal Well Applications

Horizontal wells have been used effectively in

1. Naturally fractured reservoir.

2. To minimize coning problems and enhance oil production.
3. Low permeability reservoir, improve drainage in high permeability, near wellbore gas velocities.
4. A long horizontal well provides a large reservoir contact area and therefoe injectivity of an
injection well.
