Rta: LOVE THAT FINISHED IN A TRAIN

Martha, a French girl who married with Russian boy named Jairo, from that union was a

beautiful son born, who was eight years old. It was a happy and quiet family.

A morning as always, Jairo left home very early to go to work as Martha prepared her son for

school. Suddenly someone knocked the door as it opened, but she did not see anyone, she look to

everywhere and when she turned around there was a small box on the floor. She grabbed the box

and came back to the living room to observe what was in it, she was so surprised to see that there

were photos of her husband with a woman in a very compromising situation, so she cried a river

of tears, so she took the Decision to leave her home and end up the relationship with her husband

Jairo.

Martha called her son and explained to him that she could not continue to live with her father,

so the little boy ran away from home, Martha tried to stop him, but she couldnt, a few minutes

later Martha called her mother-in-law to tell her that the child is fine and with her, Martha told

her mother-in-law what happened and asked to stay with the child for a few days.

Martha called her brother Ben who lived in front of his house and told him what happened,

she asked to take care of her son, because she will go away a few days to her parents' house to get

calm.

Martha is in her room doing her suitcases when Jairo arrived and asks her why these suitcases,

she showed him the photos. So she said, that she would leave because of his infidelity and tells

him to leave her room, he begs her do not to leave and ask her to forgive him, but she was very

sad and angry, she pushed him out of the room and closed the door at his face because she did

not accept his apologies.

Martha left for the train station which is near her house, she took the train and went to her

paternal house very sad and with tears in her eyes, and Meanwhile Jairo is with his brother-in-law

Ben asking him to help him to solve the Things with Martha.

A few minutes later they heard a loud noise and they go out to see what that noise was. people

say: a train crashed because the driver had a heart attack, Ben goes up the mountain and he could

see that it was the train where his sister was traveling, Jairo also went up at the mountain which

was near his house and where he could see the trains at the distance, he cried very bitterly

because he lost his beloved.

The BEGINNING says where and when a story happens and who the people or characters are.

The MIDDLE tells what happens to these people.

The CONCLUSION tells how the story ends.

Read the story below. It has a beginning and a conclusion but no middle.

SALLY'S PROBLEM

Sally sat at the back of the classroom, looking out of the window. She didn't hear what the

teacher said because she was thinking about her big problem.........

Sally jumped up and ran to the phone. She just knew everything was going to be alright again.

Now write two ideas what Sally's problem could be:

1. Sallys mom was in a hospital, in a surgery. She was waiting for her call.

2. Sallys best friend was missing in Peru. She was waiting for his call.

Choose the idea you like best, and write about it. Write the story again putting your middle

between the beginning and the end of the story of Sally's problem.

The book review is a bit mixed up. Rewrite the information under the headings below.

Nicknames are used to describe people, places or things. Many American Cities have

nicknames. They can help create identities, build unity and help people feel a sense of pride in

their Community.

Some years ago, marketing and advertising experts were asked to Choose the best nickname

for an American City. The winner was the nations biggest city, New York. The nickname they

chose was The Big Apple.

Where did the nickname Big Apple originally come from? In the nineteen seventies, New

York suffered from image problems. The number of Visitor was falling. A campaign was

launched to give the city a new image and a new nickname. The New York board chose the

nickname The Big Apple

It was not the first time the nickname had been used to describe the city. A journalist for a

New York Newspaper had used the name The Big Apple to Describe New York in the

nineteen twenties.

The Big Apple was also the Name of a night club in the Harlem area of New York City in the

nineteen thirties, as well as the name of a Popular dance and hit song around that time.

The Big Apple is not the only nickname for Americas Biggest city. Almost one hundred

nicknames that describe New York have been Recorded. Some of the best known nicknames for

New York are The Capital of the World, Empire City, Gotham, The City So Nice They

Named it Twice and The City That Never Sleeps.
