Termite Lab

Figure 1. This is a picture of a termites insides (guts) and the organisms that live
inside the termite. Termites eat plants and trees but, they cant break down the
cellulose. The organisms living in the termite can breakdown the cellulose, and
they feed on the parts that the termite does not need. This is an example of a
symbiotic mutualistic relationship. Both the termite and the organisms benefit, the
organisms have food to eat, and the termite has the organisms to breakdown the
cellulose.
