Since the beginning of her candidacy, Meg has been taking steps to reach out to Californians in every corner
of the state.

She’s traveled to nearly all of California’s 58 counties. She’s met voters at more than 500 campaign events.
She’s visited under-represented communities, and she’s built coalitions with Californians who want to have a
voice in the future of this state.

Meg is committed to working hard to earn the vote of every Californian, and to engaging voters in changing
the path California is on.

Just this week, Meg opened a campaign office in East Los Angeles, marking the first time a Republican
statewide candidate has opened an office in this community for many years.

“I want this to be a campaign that includes all Californians,” Meg told the crowd at the office. “We are going
to put Californians back to work, and I’m not going to forget about East L.A.”
Community members there say they often feel forgotten by candidates on the campaign trail. But Meg’s
taking a different approach to leadership, they say -- she wants every voter to be included in rebuilding the
state and turning around California’s economy.

Throughout her 18-month campaign, Meg has been tapping the ideas of California’s diverse population.

On Wednesday, Meg met with Jewish leaders in Los Angeles at The Museum of Tolerance. She toured the
museum and sat in on its board of trustees meeting, where she discussed issues facing California – and
talked about the importance of bringing jobs back to the state.

Meg said she appreciates that creating jobs is the issue on every Californian’s mind – and she wants every
voter to know that she intends to take the necessary steps to put Californians back to work.

Later in the day, Meg gathered with more than 200 voters – including Democrats and independents – at a
backyard event in Altadena. She told the crowd humorous and touching stories about her upbringing, her
experience growing the tiny startup eBay into a global corporation, and her plan to change the course of
California and turn the economy around.

“She’s bridging the gap. Everybody wants an economic change right now. Everybody wants jobs,” said Norm
Davis of Tustin. “For those who are independents and for those who are straddling the fence, there’s only
one choice here, and that’s Meg Whitman.”
