accuracy.
Materials: Positive Self-Talk Apple Tree worksheet
Time: 5-10 minutes
Teaching Plan:
The teacher will pass out the worksheets to the students.
The teacher will read the directions on the worksheet while ensuring the students are
paying attention.
The teacher will explain that positive is something good and negative is something bad.
The teacher will show the students the apple tree he/she created.
The teacher will ask if the students have any questions.
The teacher will ask the students to write something positive in the apples on the tree and
something negative on the apples on the ground.
Modifications:
Directions will be repeated
Activity will be modeled
Students will be given sentence stems
Formative or Summative Assessment:
I will do a formative assessment by asking students what they wrote down, why they
wrote it, and how they think they can improve.
