THE TOUCAN

The toucan is a bird distinguised by large and colourful

beak. It has got four claws to cling to the branches of the trees. It
has got a narrow and long tongue. It can weigh up to 400 grams
and is about 50 centimetres tall.
Toucans can live for up to 20 years . It lives in the jungles of the
South and Central America . They usually lives in pairs or small
groups. Its diet consists of fruit , small insects, lizards and fish.
It can be noisy because it makes loud calls. One amazing fact
about toucans is that babies dont have big bills. Another
interesting fact is that the bright coloured beak is very light and
toucan uses it to attract a male.
Its a really beautiful animal.
