Drugs and Nervous System Quiz Review

Students will be able to:

Students knows the location and function of each lobe of the


cerebellum: Frontal, Occipital, Temporal, and Parietal.

Students knows the function of the corpus collosum diencephalon,


cerebellum, brain stem, spinal cord.

Explain the parts of a neuron and how a neuron uses


neurotransmitters to transmit signals from axon terminals to
dendrites of the next neuron.

Be able to compare and contrast rabies and polio and be able to


answer clinical vignettes. Be able to compare and contrast
(diagnose and treat) bipolar disorder and depression.

Be able to explain the functions of the meninges and what is


meningitis. Be able to explain the 3 main functions of
Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).

Identify the mechanism of action of every drug that we studied

The routes of administration of every drug that we studied

The signs and symptoms (in red) of every drugs that we studied

The withdrawals symptoms (in red) of every drugs that we


studied

The key terms (such as synesthesia, cerebellar ataxia, trismus,


etc.) and know which types of drugs can cause it.

Be familiar with common street names (such as shrooms, angel


dust, etc).
