1. Name of Campus? The campus name is Kwantlen Polytechnic University.


(KPU)

2. Why did you choose this campus? I chose this because it has multiple campuses
over the lower mainland.

3. What is unique about this campus? They have four (almost five) KPU
campuses in Surrey, Langley, and Richmond.

4. What kind of programs are offered? KPU offers over one hundred and twenty
programs ranging from fine arts, business, design, health, science and
horticulture, trades and technology and post graduate.

5. What is the application deadline? In the fall the application for all programs open
on November 1st and the application deadline is March 1st.

6. How do I check my application status? You can check your application status by
logging on to kpu.ca/oss

7. After I have been accepted, how do I register? You can go online to

8. How do I know what classes to register for? You can consult with an academic
advisor to see what is best for your specific career path.

9. What is the average class size? At KPU the average class size is 35 students.

10. How do you provide academic advice to students? By consulting an academic


advisor or talking with your professors which will almost always provide contact
information if you ever need help on school work.

11. Where are the best places to study on campus? At KPU some of the best places
to study are either in the caf or the library where you can book a room for up to
two hours.

12. Does the campus offer residence? Not currently but there is a demand for
residence from the students.

13. How can I get involved with athletics or clubs and societies? You can contact an
advisor and gather information and pamphlets to see what they offer.

14. How long was the tour? The tour was about 30 minutes long.

15. What surprised you about campus? KPU surprised me with the size of the
campus, I didnt think a small location would be that big and have as many
classes as they do.

16. What did you like about the campus? I liked that they have multiple campus
locations.

17. What did you not like about the campus? I didnt like how currently they dont
offer residence for the students.

18. Would you apply to this Campus? Yes I would apply to KPU because of their
wide range of programs.

1. Name of Campus? The second campus we went to was the University of British
Columbia (UBC).

2. Why did you choose this campus? I chose this campus because of the range of
programs available.

3. What is unique about this campus? It has thirteen libraries and has a lot of
locations on campus to study or relax.

4. What kind of programs are offered? UBC offers technology, physics, language,
history, creative arts, health sciences, chemistry and life sciences and business.

5. What is the application deadline? The application opens in early September and
the deadline is January 15th.

6. How do I check my application status? Log onto the


https;//account.you.ubc.ca/ubc/apply/applynow.ezc website to check your
application status.

7. After I have been accepted, how do I register? You log onto the student service
center on the ubc website (SSC) and go into registration and find the courses
youre looking for.

8. How do I know what classes to register for? You can speak with an academic
advisor to help figure out what classes would work best for you specifically.

9. What is the average class size? Class sizes at UBC can range from around 50
to 300 students.
10. How do you provide academic advice to students? Contact an advisor or a
professor for help.

11. Where are the best places to study on campus? In the libraries where you can
book study session rooms, your dorm or at a local caf.

12. Does the campus offer residence? Yes UBC offers residence.

13. How can I get involved with athletics or clubs and societies? You can go to the
meetings or even start your own clubs if they dont already have what youre
interested in.

14. How long was the tour? It was about two hours long.

15. What surprised you about campus? How large the campus really is.

16. What did you like about the campus? I liked that UBC had so many locations
to get involved on campus.

17. What did you not like about the campus? I cant think of anything I didnt like, the
tour was very great and well done.

18. Would you apply to this Campus? I would definitely apply to this campus.

1. Name of Campus? This campus we went to is named Simon Fraser University


(SFU).

2. Why did you choose this campus? I chose this campus because its pretty well
known and the acceptance rate is good.

3. What is unique about this campus? Its above a mall.

4. What kind of programs are offered? Business, sciences, criminology, computers,


theatre, etc.

5. What is the application deadline? For the fall term the application deadline is
February 28th.

6. How do I check my application status? You go onto the sfu website and create a
student account.

7. After I have been accepted, how do I register? You log into your student account
and apply for the courses youre interested in.

8. How do I know what classes to register for? You can meet with an academic
advisor.

9. What is the average class size? Around 30 to 100 students.

10. How do you provide academic advice to students? To talk to your professor
and make sure/check up to see if youre understand and doing things correctly.

11. Where are the best places to study on campus? The best place to study would
be in the library.

12. Does the campus offer residence? Yes the campus does offer residence.

13. How can I get involved with athletics or clubs and societies? You can show up to
the meetings.

14. How long was the tour? It was about an hour and a half long.

would be smaller.

16. What did you like about the campus? I liked that the campus has a wide range of
programs and courses.

17. What did you not like about the campus? I dont like the area the campus is
located.
