Experiment (1)

Inverse square law

Name: Salma Mohamed Abd-elatti

ID:194
Inverse square law

Objective:-
Verifying inverse square law.

Equipment:-
power supply
table lamp
meter stick
lux meter

Procedures:-

1. Turn on the table lamp.

2. Move the lux meter 10cm away from the table lamp and record the reading.

3. Repeat the previous step several times at different distances (at 20 ,30 ,40 ,50).

Results & conclusion:-

r (cm) 10 20 30 40 50

I (lux) 4320 1470 760 450 310

This experiment is to show that light intensity is inversely
proportional to the square of the distance from appoint light
source.
