REVIEW TIPS AND GUIDES (Compilation Series of my Blog Posts for Tips on How to Have An Effective
Review in Civil Engineering Board Examinations) By: Dindo Mojica, C.E., M.Eng, 3 Objectives: These blog
posts intends to give tips and strategies of passing successfully the CE Licensure Examinations. It is
particularly designed to: Awaken the desire of civil engineering students to prepare to study earlier and
guide CE candidates during the needed preparation process and information in taking board
examinations. Develop the necessary attitude, discipline and examination skills. Provide them with the
necessary information they need for them to wisely choose which review program/s alternative to take.
Develop in them a healthy confidence in taking the CE Board Examinations. OVERVIEW: It is the major
aim of the blogger to provide a study guide and review tips to CE college students, and graduates most
especially the CE reviewees. Majority of the newly graduates of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
degree (even us before) made some assumptions that their study habits that made them pass their
college/university requirements will be applicable to the actual Civil Engineering board examinations. In
my observation (and even others), why are there some CE graduates fail the board exams? I also even
wonder why some average students who passed the board exams and some of it make it to the top 10 or
even topped the board exam? The truth is that your grades during your college days reflect your
strengths and weaknesses but it does not guarantee or determine you that you can either pass the CE
board exams. It can't be denied that some students think that after graduation, their earnest preparation
for the CE Board Examination embark on formal review classes. Until then, they dont realize that the
actual preparation for the examination starts from the first day they attended their classes in college. It is
very true that CE Review Centers contribute much to your chances of passing the CE Board Exams, it
would be better for you to prepare earlier before attending review classes. Attending classes at CE
Review Centers without earlier preparations will prove disadvantageous to you. There is no short-cut in
passing the CE Board Exam. Yes, passing the CE Board Exam is a very hard task, but every problem is
placed down with an equivalent solution. In these blog posts, you will find honest-to-goodness tips that
are based on the actual CE Board Exam experiences (myself and other test-takers) that could possibly
spell for you the difference between success and failure. It bears stress that in passing the CE Board
exams, there is no substitute for adequate preparation and strong foundation. as the saying goes,
"OPPORTUNITY FAVORS THE MOST PREPARED MIND!" Passing the CE board exams is like entering a
taekwondo competition. If you dont have enough practice, patience and determination, you cant win in
the competition. Also in the actual board exams, if you dont prepare during your college days and
before taking the exams, you cant pass the said board exams. And during your review preparation, just
dont forget to pray for GOD for the wisdom, blessings and guidance in order to pass the board exams.
But dont always rely on praying. Prayer without work is dead. (In Tagalog, nasa Diyos ang awa, nasa tao
ang gawa!) If we rely on praying and asking for miracles but you didn't prepare for the said exams, you
will fail. GOD helps who help themselves! Dear CE students and graduates dont be deceived! There is no
shortcut in passing CE Board Exam. Still, your effective preparation shall forever be the prime secret in
passing the CE Board Examinations. So good luck future fellow engineers! May these blog posts help you
in preparing your actual reviews. Go for the Gold! Bring home the Bacon! Kudos! It is hoped that this
humble work will be a big help for CE students and reviewees regarding CE Board exam tips and guides.
