Priya Is Hurt

Scene : At a badminton court.

Narrator : Priya, Sue and Jun Jie are at the badminton court.

They are waiting for their friend to join them.

Jun Jie : Wheres Mark?

Priya : There he is. Hi, Mark!

Mark : Hi, everyone! Im sorry Im late. I had to help my

brother with his project.

Jun Jie : Its all right, Mark. Lets play badminton now.

Narrator : The children begin their game. Suddenly, Priya slips

and falls. She scrapes her knee and it is bleeding.

Priya : Help! Im bleeding. Call 999!

Jun Jie : I dont think we need to do that.

Priya : Why not ? Look at my knee. Its bleeding.

Mark : Priya, we should call 999 only when someone is badly

hurt. Its just a small wound . You can still move

around.

Jun Jie : Priya, if we call 999 every time we fall, we will jam up
 the lines and prevent emergency services from getting
to those who really need them .

Sue : You dont need emergency treatment but you do need

to treat that wound . Come to my house. I know how to

clean and dress your wound .

Priya : Thanks Sue but Id rather go home .

Sue : Let me walk you home.

Jun Jie : Mark , lets go with them too .

Mark : Thats a good idea . Let me get our shuttlecocks and

net before we leave.

Jun Jie : Ill get Priyas things from the bench .

Priya : Thanks for being such good friends everyone .
