DIRECTIONS FOR SENSORY INTEGRATION LAB

EQUIPMENT OPTIONS TO TRY OUT:

1. Bolster swing
-on stomach (supine) straddling bolster
-seated with a partner
-propel with feet and/or with arms on rope
2. Cushion tunnel
-inside tunnel, roll into objects
-superman on top of tunnel
-roll tunnel over your back by partner when in lying flat in supine on floor
3. Scooter board
-on stomach, roll down ramp
-pull self up a ramp with rope
-crash into objects
4. Rotational swings
-hammock
-seated park-style swing
-platform swing
-invent a game with upper extremity use while on the swing
5. Exercise balls
-seated, bounce vertically and diagonally
-on belly, bounce and roll
-on back, bounce and roll
-try different positions with a partner assisting you to do ab crunches and
superman on top of ball

increased alertness, relaxing, etc.)
