Q.1. Describe entrepreneurial competencies of Dadu. Dadu is which type of entrepreneur?

The entrepreneurial competencies of Dadu are as below:


 He was too enthusiastic from his childhood.
 he was too helpful by nature and used to help at a flour mill that his father had set up.
 He was responsible person as he started job in his father childhood at his father’s friend’s workshop in
the neighborhood.
 He was responsible and also looked after his younger brother and sister an also their study.
 He had managing power.
 He was too enthusiastic and hard worker earnings.
 He always try to innovate some new products and tries to satisfied customers need.
 He had a forecasting power.
 He always tried to maintain credit period.
 He developed contacts.
 He went at different places to research market condition for cupboard.
 He entered in market with law price.
 He also try to make his employee happy.
 He was a innovator as he was only the person in his area to make wooden polishing with finishing.
 In all different products, he brought innovation.
 He always keeps his commitment as he always tries to complete orders got from consumers.
Dadu was a successful entrepreneur as he was very innovative. He was I intrapreneur also as he innovate
new products under his roof.
Q-2 What challenges Dadu faced and draw similarities w.r.t. to those mentioned in first
two articles discussed in class ?

Challenges which Dadu faced during his life are as below.

Dadu was studying and he failed in exams, so he had to leave his study is the life’s first challenge. After
join the job at father’s friend’s workshop, his father expired after a short period. It was the big shocked for
Dadu. At that time Dadu had to leave his job and had to look after the flour mill and had to manage and look
after his family as well as the education of his younger brother and sister. The income of flour mill was not
enough to run his family. To start new business, he had to face problems to collect financial, man power and
other resources.

In business also he was getting problem to recover his money from distributers. The town was small
enough to expand his business. The cupboard is the product whose market demand is not for every time.
After starting a business, so many competitors were there in market. And to be stable in market in such
competition, dadu suffered a lot. No technology developed to make manufacturing or any task perform
easily.

There were no more customers for his product “cupboard”. Hardly 10-12 cupboards were being
produced by order per month. To expand business, the needed machineries were too costly and it was also
not sure that all selling cupboards would have been sold and it could recover the money which spent to
purchase machineries. Main resources - man power was not good as per require. No skilled worker or
employees were being got easily.
Q-3 Describe the approach of Dadu to the entrepreneurial process.

The entrepreneurial process is as under.

 Evaluation method
 Identify and evaluate opportunity
 Develop a business plan
 Resources required
 Manage the enterprise

In initial stage Dadu started to look after his father’s business of flour mill business. As he had
experience in welding, he thought to do something similar in his experienced work. As he got opportunity to get
more order not only in grill making but also to make other products.

He developed his business to employed two workers initially. And started collecting orders from
customers. After finished the order work, Dadu took up orders for making gates, metallic windows. To expand
his business he divided his house into two parts. As one part is same for flour mill and in other part he was
making grill, gates and all other products.

After getting financial and man power resource, he launched new business of wooden fitting steel
cupboards and also other innovative products. The same way he started the repairing work of refrigerators,
tempo painting and other painting jobs to see his employees had sufficient work at hand.

Finally he settled his enterprise and was manufacturing 15-20 cupboards per month. And also operates
the flour mill and handle the workshop.
