Year of Completion: Mourning into Dancing

"Your altitude is determined by your attitude."

Mat. 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

SIN

"It redirects our minds in focusing how stressed we are instead of how blessed we are."

Stress! Break na tayo! Breaking up with sin is breaking up with stress.

When God hears sincere contrite in human heart, His own heart responds.

All real mourning makes heart softer and the spirit humbler; it preaches sin and calls...

Promises to those who comes into contrition:

I. Intimacy with God

Psalms 34

[18]The lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

II. Our sacrifices won't escape God's record

Psalms 51

[17]The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.

III. Most Treasured by God

Isaiah 66

[2]My hands have made both heaven and earth; they and everything in them are mine. I, the lord,
have spoken! I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at my word.

IV. Cancels Catastrophe

Joel 2

[13]Dont tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead. Return to the lord your God,
for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to
relent and not punish.
 Grace is when God gives us good things we don't deserve

Mercy is when he spared us from the bad things we deserve

Blessings is being generous for both (grace and mercy).

V. Salvation

There is pardon for sin.

Godly sorrow accepts rebuke meekly, puts away the wrong.
