Thousands Gather in Los Angeles For Anime Appreciation

WHAT: Over 100,000 attendees gather in the heart of downtown Los


Angeles each year to celebrate their love of Japanese culture at
Anime Expo. Patrons mingle in extravagant hand-made costumes
and make-up that brings both the anime and comic book
characters to life. Events at the convention include late-night
dances, cosplay gatherings, concerts with exclusive bands from
Japan, a masquerade and a fashion show.
