Dear Eller College Admissions Committee:

As of my submission of this portion of my application to the Eller College of Management for the Fall
2017 semester, I have decided to apply for Management Information Systems as my major. The world is
an ever-changing place, and technology has been the main driver of this change in recent years. With
the influence of technology on many facets of life certain to expand in the coming years, it is my desire
to incorporate technological knowledge into my pursuit of knowledge in the business world so that I am
able to compete in an evolving market. The Eller College of Management has always been a trailblazing
institution in the field of MIS, and it is my desire to be a part of this trend while giving back and
facilitating its continued success.

I vehemently believe that my work experience and campus involvement thus far in college have
provided me with a great base set of business knowledge and skills. These skills can be molded by the
Management Information Systems Department and will not only help me accomplish my personal goals,
but will assist me to further give back to the Eller community. Beginning this past fall, I have served as
the team manager of a group of brand ambassadors for the University of Arizonas branch of a startup
application. This experience has allowed me to hone my skills working among a group while
simultaneously providing me a chance to lead my peers. This practice in leadership has made me realize
I am personable, respectful, and value the importance of listening. I believe these traits lend themselves
well to business applications. Furthermore, this Spring semester I will be serving as a chair position for
Delta Sigma Pi that will plan initiation ceremonies for Arizonas chapter as well of those of five other
schools in our region who will be traveling to Tucson for the event. I believe this role exemplifies my
expeditious side, and will allow me to learn the best way to coordinate an event professionally.

Eller will be better off upon my admittance to its MIS program because I am a student who has the
desire to use the skills I will gain from my education in order to give back. I will remain involved in Eller
throughout my college experience so that I may see what I can build and develop over my time in the
College of Management, as well as so that I can continually test my professional skills so I am best
prepared for the business world upon my graduation. Thank you for your time and consideration in
reviewing my application.

Sincerely,

Harrison Garber
