FFAA (Florida Financial Aid Application)

Steps to Register for Bright Futures and other Florida Grants and Scholarships

1. Register for Bright Futures (http://www.floridastudentfinancialaid.org/)

2. Click on: State Grants, Scholarships and Applications (on the left)
3. Click on: Student Application (under Applicant Quick Links on left)
4. Click on: Proceed to Application (middle of page)
6. After completing all sections of the application, click Submit and Print but cancel the
print
-write down your USER ID and Password so that you may access your application
at a later date to do any updates.

Important notes:
Your Graduation Date is: 06/11/2018 (last date for county)
Your Status in the Fall of 2018 is: Freshman- First time in College
Even if you are dual enrolled, you are still considered a Douglas Anderson high school
student.

How to Access/Update Your Bright Futures Florida Financial Aid Application

1. Go to www.floridastudentfinancialaid.org
2. Click on: State Grants, Scholarships and Applications (on the left)
3. Click on: Check My Status (under Applicant Quick Links on left)
4. LOGIN Enter your User ID and Password (if you dont remember your information,
click Forgot which will bring you to Get My User ID and PIN and enter demographic
information to retrieve password and log in information)
5. Log In to view your information and make corrections

How to view your Bright Futures GPA on www.floridashines.org

For a great resource of information on Bright Futures Eligibility, Credit checks for graduation, career interest
inventories, and Florida College information visit the website myfloridashines.org). For Bright Futures
Eligibility click on "Go to College," click on Pay for College and proceed to Check Now (your eligibility for
a Bright Futures Scholarship).
You will need to use your social security number followed by an X to access your account. The
information you will see is based on your DA transcript sent in September 2017. Transcripts will be sent
again by district starting mid June.
