Jim Murphy Files for Re-election

HOUSTON Jim Murphy, Texas State Representative, District 133, has filed for re-
election and a place on the March Republican Primary ballot. Murphy is currently in his
fifth term.

Its a privilege to serve the people of District 133 at the Capitol and I look forward
to continuing to represent our community, Murphy said. This year has been
especially difficult for our area after being hit by Hurricane Harvey. I am committed
to issues that will help address our long-term infrastructure needs related to
flooding and storm surge protection in the 86th Legislative Session.

I am proud to call District 133 my home. It is an enterprising community where
many of our areas business and industry leaders make their home. The constituents
of the district are well versed on important issues and hold their Representative to a
high standard. It is an honor to be able to meet this challenge and exceed their
expectations, Murphy concluded.
