Strengths of the lesson:

Small group, 4 students
Materials ready on table
Using a picture book, show me the square, circle, etc. (What a great book!) Where is the
biggest triangle?
Students were given a paper plate each (pizza base) and had to first paint it brown. They
then had red paper cut into circles (pepperoni), yellow paper cut into rectangles
(cheese), and green paper cut into triangles (pepper), to add to their pizza. I was glad to
see you found extra brushes to save students waiting for the one roller (great display
item, or take-home product).
You had a constant stream of language throughout the activity, asking students
questions about the shape of their pizza ingredients, and a lot of positive praise
throughout. You also used students names well throughout.
Students were then given a shapes worksheet and were shown the glitter pens they
could use but only if you can tell me the name of the shape.
Students used the faces of 3D solids to print with paint on the worksheet.
Clay activity to come.
You seem confident and comfortable in the classroom.

Areas for development:

Please ensure your plan is sent in advance to MST and MCT, communication is very
important. What would be/was the goal of your lesson?
You showed 3D solids and asked what shape you mean what shape is this face?
Keep your phone in your bag. Be involved in the class at all times.
