the movie is about the music and the artist community in the smalltown of Muscel
Shoals, AL.

main character in the movie: Jim Hall, the Godfather of the music in Muscel Shoals
and Founder of FAME Records in the late 1950s. A life full of tragedy.

Started in a small recording studio Sparmusic in Muscle Shoals and got fired. He
then started his own business.

FAME Studio: Recordings with local artists like Percy Sledge, Big Hits with Atlantic
Records, Stax Records Artist Wilson Picket or Aretha Franklin. Influence on European
Music: The Rolling Stones cover a Song by Arthur Alexander.

Leonard Chess (Chess Records, Chicago) encouraged Etta James to record there in
1967.

Jerry Wexler of Atlantic Records brought both Wilson Pickett and Aretha Franklin to
record in FAME in 1967. Several ongoing disputes between Jim Hall and Jerry Wexler.

The four primary Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section members AKA The Swampers (Barry
Beckett (keyboards), Jimmy Johnson (guitar), Roger Hawkins (drums), and David
Hood (bass)), left to found a competing business, the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio.
