Name of Article: Teacher Talk in General and Special Education Elementary Classrooms

The article discusses the importance of classroom communication that the teacher has
with their students and how this communication can directly affect the students success. The
research used for this article not only includes general education classrooms, but studies the
language of special education classrooms as well. Researchers observed the way teachers give
directions, feedback to their students and also the way they form questions for their students.
All of the teachers qualities are observed, as well as the way the students react to all the
different components of their instructors communication techniques. Some of the qualities of
communication that were researched and explored within the classroom would be quantity,
complexity, content, clarity, figurative language and errors. All of these qualities lead to
different behaviors of the students, which ultimately affects their success in a classroom
setting. The article demonstrates through findings in the research that a teachers
communication skills need to be adjusted to fit the students needs in order for a productive
classroom to exist.

Part B:

Title of Article: Personal Goal Setting and Quality of Life: A Mixed Methods Study of Adult
Professionals

 In the dissertation regarding goal setting, it discusses goal setting in the workplace, as
well as in ones personal life, and how the process of goal setting can be attained through
certain organization and resources. Research is used to demonstrate the steps used in order to
create goals and show that ones performance is greater when setting goals in particular
aspects of their life. Specific examples are given throughout the dissertation that provides
evidence to their thesis on goal setting. Visuals are used throughout to give a representation of
how certain goals can be achieved as well as organizational tips that can be an important
component to goal reaching success. The dissertation expresses that success can be found
through using mentors, future thinking and organization in order to establish goals in any part
of ones life, as well as how they can achieve their goals by just taking these simple steps.

Part C:

Name of Article: Doctor who prescribed drugs to Elvis Presley

The article announces the death of Elvis Presleys doctor who was accused of over
prescribing drugs to Elvis that ultimately led to his death. The death of Dr. Nick brought back
the mystery of Elviss death many years ago. It explains how the doctor was accused of
prescribing excessive amounts of drugs to people throughout his career that eventually led to
him losing his medical license. Dr. Nick is quoted in the article from his statements in previous
years regarding the death of Elvis, but many still seem to find evidence to blame him. He
explained that he did everything he could to help the troubled Elvis and should not be left with
the legacy of causing Elviss death.
