2. Editing the Append Token for Plenty of Fish, Facebook, etc.

With sources such as Facebook, where youre dealing more with ad copy and targeting vs.
keywords and url targetsyou simply prefill the keyword token in your campaign url to
identify each ad.

A. Go in and setup the campaign...

B. Choose Facebook or Plenty of Fish as the Predefined Source

C. Enter your landing pages and Offers as usual.

D. Copy your Campaign URL...which will look something like this:

http://yourdomain.com/base.php?c=369&key=228fef3bc55699d1c323686e9f0d52a1
&keyword=EDIT

E. Simply replace EDIT with a unique entry for each Ad Copythis creates a unique
destination url for each Ad.

http://yourdomain.com/base.php?c=369&key=228fef3bc55699d1c323686e9f0d52a1
&keyword=ad1 , ad2, etc.

F. Use each unique campaign URL as the destination url in the specific ad

Ad 1
http://yourdomain.com/base.php?c=369&key=228fef3bc55699d1c323686e9f0d52a1
&keyword=ad1

Ad 2
http://yourdomain.com/base.php?c=369&key=228fef3bc55699d1c323686e9f0d52a1
&keyword= ad2

OPTIONAL TARGETING OPTIONS IN THE STATS

You can also create unique identifiers using some of the targeting options.

For example, let's say you have 2 ads targeting Women 25 to 35 years old.
You could append a unique id such as this:

Ad 1
http://yourdomain.com/base.php?c=369&key=228fef3bc55699d1c323686e9f0d52a1&ke
yword=Women_25to35_ad1

Ad 2
http://yourdomain.com/base.php?c=369&key=228fef3bc55699d1c323686e9f0d52a1&ke
yword=Women_25to35_ad2

Then when you look at the target performance you'll see Women_25to35_ad1 and
Women_25to35_ad1 as the target and all the metrics.

Heres simple spreadsheet to speed up this task...

A bit more In-Depth

Let's say you're starting a campaign...You have 2 ad copies and 2 images to test.
And you're targeting 2 different audiences: 2 age groups and also gender
Age 21 to 35 / Age 36 to 50
Male / Female

So you would have the following 16 combinations...

age=21_35 / gender=male / ad=1 / image=1
age=21_35 / gender=male / ad=1 / image=2
age=21_35 / gender=male / ad=2 / image=1
age=21_35 / gender=male / ad=2 / image=2
age=21_35 / gender=female / ad=1 / image=1
age=21_35 / gender=female / ad=1 / image=2
age=21_35 / gender=female / ad=2 / image=1
age=21_35 / gender=female / ad=2 / image=2
age=36_50 / gender=male / ad=1 / image=1
age=36_50 / gender=male / ad=1 / image=2
age=36_50 / gender=male / ad=2 / image=1
age=36_50 / gender=male / ad=2 / image=2
age=36_50 / gender=female / ad=1 / image=1
age=36_50 / gender=female / ad=1 / image=2
age=36_50 / gender=female / ad=2 / image=1
age=36_50 / gender=female / ad=2 / image=2

You can now separate these factors in your Campaign URL using Tokens.
For this example, we'll setup 3 tokens: ad , image , gender
We'll use the Target column for Age.

Setup the Tokenson the edit Campaign page for your campaign
Check Capture Extra Tokens and enter the following tokens for Ad Group & Ad Copy
Then Save the Campaign

Using Tokens you can segment the performance of your ads in CPV Lab by Adding Tokens for
Multiple Variables

1.) Ad
- Image
- Title
- Body

2.) Audience
- Location
- Age Range
- Sex
- Likes & Interests
- Interested In
- Relationship
- Language
- Education
- Workplace

3. Create a Unique Campaign URL to use as the Destination URL for Each Ad
Your Campaign URL should look something like this:
http://YourDomain.com/base.php?c=93&key=c0e29b4fdae9b5f0edb3c191c48145da&k
eyword=EDIT&adc=%AD%&adi=%IMG%&gen=%GENDER%

Now, using the example aboveyoull create destination urls for each of your ads like this:

age=21_35 / gender=male / ad=1 / image=2

http://YourDomain.com/base.php?c=93&key=c0e29b4fdae9b5f0edb3c191c48145da&keywor
d=21_35&adc=1&adi=2&gen=male

age=36_50 / gender=male / ad=1 / image=1

http://YourDomain.com/base.php?c=93&key=c0e29b4fdae9b5f0edb3c191c48145da&keywor
d=36_50&adc=1&adi=1&gen=male

age=36_50 / gender=male / ad=1 / image=2

http://YourDomain.com/base.php?c=93&key=c0e29b4fdae9b5f0edb3c191c48145da&keywor
d=36_50&adc=1&adi=2&gen=male
Etc. Etc. Etc.

IMPORTANT
To make sure everything is passed as it should DO NOT add any spaces to the url, instead of
using spaces, use characters for spacing such as dash - or underscores _ to avoid any
potential url format problems.

For example
Good: &age=35_to_55 Uses underscore ( _ ) as separating character
&age=35-to-55 Uses dash ( - ) as separating character
Bad: &age=35 to 55 NO GOOD, Uses a Space

!
Cloaking is coming soon within the CPV Lab interface to completely hide these tokens as well.
As of right nowthe prefilled tokens are visible in your destination url.

Were also adding additional ways to sort and filter this data to give you more control and
abilities to view the segmented data.

The Stats
Based on what you named your tokens and entered for your tokens youll see that data within
your Stats for the Campaign for each Target / Keyword.

Additional Tokens are added to the Stats

In this example Target is showing the targeted age range, 2 options ( 1 & 2) for the Ad Copy
and 2 options (1 & 2) for Image, and Gender as either male or female

The image below shows the complete stats for each Ad

IMPORTANT
When using CPV Lab for PPC, Social or Media Buysthe metrics slightly change, as now you
have Ads on the frontend, where in CPV advertising you are popping your landing page or
offer instead of using an ad.

So when viewing your Stats for any Campaigns with PPC, Social or Media Buys as the traffic
source
Views = Clicks on Your Ads.
Clicks = The number of clicks from your landing page.
CTR = Shows the Click-Through Rate of your Landing pages.
CPC = The cost per click from your landing page
