Hello everyone!

Define learning styles:

Learning styles could be defined as the ways we prefer or we are used to using
when it comes to learning something. It has to do with personal dispositions, I mean,
whether an individual is keen on learning or not, also with personal choices, that is
the best personal way of learning, prior learning experience, which refers to the past
learning situations of the learner, and innate dotes, regarding to the brain and how
an individual usually learns.

It is important to stand out that we all possess a wide variety of learning styles, and
they are developed over the years, and are shaped by our experience.

Explain cognitive psychology characterization:

There are field-independent and field-dependent learners. The former refers to those
students who usually separate every detail from their context. They dont perceive
knowledge as a whole, they are quite analytic, independent and they are also very
good at cementing relationships.

The latter refers to those learners who prefer perceiving knowledge as a whole field,
where everything is related. They arent pretty sociable, but dependent people.

Explain cognitive psychology characterization:

Kolb's cycle starts with a concrete experience. An individual is given a task to

perform.

Then, in the second stage, the individual or group of individuals reviews what has
been done and reflects about it.

After that, comes the abstraction and generalization in which the learner or learners
compare and reflect what has been done with theory, ideas, previous knowledge,
and other sources.

Finally, the learner considers how they are going to put what they have learnt into
practice.

These previous stages are linked to four learning styles: accommodating, diverging,
converging and assimilating.

The first one, accommodating, refers to trying risky or challenging activities, learning
from experimenting new things and working in groups with other people.

Diverging refers to seeing stuff from different perspectives, having broad cultural
interests, etc.

Converging is strong in practical application of ideas, and is extrovert too.

Lastly, assimilating is linked to practicality, logical thinking, and is concerned with
abstract concepts and theories.
