Marico's consumer product segment offers coconut oil, hair oils, refined edible oils, anti-lice treatments,
fabric care, edible salt, functional and other processed foods, hair creams and gels, hair serums, hair
colors, shampoos, hair relaxers and straighteners, deodorants and other products.
The company's India business markets household brands such as Parachute Advansed, Saffola, Hair &
Care, Nihar, Mediker, Revive, Manjal, Setwet, Zatak and Livon among others. Its international business
offers brands such as Parachute, Hair Code, Fiancee, Caivil, Hercules, BlackChic, Code 10, Ingwe, X-
Men, L'Ovite and Thuan Phat.
Marico's manufacturing facilities are located at Kanjikode, Jalgaon, Goa, Puducherry, Dehradun, Paonta
Sahib, Baddi, Paldhi and Perundurai, in India.

History
HISTORY
Surender Sharma was appointed as the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer at Marico in April
2016.
In October 2015, Marico relaunched brand, Livon Serum with an ultra-lightweight formulation.
In 2014, the company appointed Vivek Karve as the Chief Financial Officer, and Saugata Gupta as the
Managing Director.
In 2013, the company shifted its place of business from Rang Sharda, Krishnachandra Marg, Bandra
Reclamation, Bandra (West), Mumbai - 400 050, Maharashtra to 7th Floor, Grande Palladium, 175, CST
Road, Kalina, Santacruz (East), Mumbai - 400 098, India. In the same year, Marico stopped
manufacturing activities at its Dehradun Camp Road Plant.
The company acquired Halite Personal Care India Private Limited from Reckitt Benckiser (RB) in 2012. In
the same year, Marico commenced the primary sales of its male grooming brands of Halite Personal Care
India Private Limited, including Set Wet, Zatak and Livon.
Also in 2011, the company sold its refined sunflower oil brand Sweekar to Cargill India Private Limited
(Cargill). In the same year, Marico acquired the skin care business of Derma Rx in Singapore and
Malaysia.
International Skin Care and Kaya Skin Clinic, subsidiaries of the company, launched their first clinic in
Dhaka in 2011. In the same year, Marico acquired 85% equity in International Consumer Products
Corporation (ICP), a Vietnamese FMCG Company.
In 2010, the company announced the divestment of its processed foods business under the brand Sil to a
Danish business house, Good Food Group. In the same year, Marico acquired aesthetics business of the
Singapore-based Derma Rx Asia Pacific (Derma Rx), through Kaya Limited (Kaya). Also in 2010, Kaya
skin clinic launched its first clinic in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Marico divested its processed foods business under the brand Sil to a Danish business house, Good
Food Group in 2008. In the same year, the company and Indo Nissin Foods (INFL) mutually decided to
end their distribution alliance. Also in 2008, Marico launched Hair & Care Almond Gold, nourishing non-
sticky hair oil enriched with almond proteins. In the same year, Marico opened its third manufacturing
factory in Egypt in Sadat City to manufacture Parachute hair oil products.
Also in 2007, the company acquired the consumer division of Enaleni Pharmaceuticals Limited, through
purchase of 100% shares in Enaleni Pharmaceuticals Consumer Division (EPCD), an Enaleni subsidiary,
and entered into the South African ethnic hair care and health care market. In the same year, Marico
launched Saffola Diabetics Atta Mix as a prototype in Delhi and the National Capital Region.
In 2007, the company reorganized its operations into three operating units, namely Consumer Products
Business, Kaya Business and International Business. In the same year, Marico entered into a strategic
alliance with the Cairo-based Pyramids Group for the hair care brand HairCode.
Marico acquired the brand Nihar from Hindustan Lever (HLL) in 2006. In the same year, Marico
Bangladesh (MBL), the Bangladesh-based wholly owned subsidiary of the company, acquired the Toilet
Soap brand Aromatic from Aromatic Cosmetics, a Bangladesh personal care product company. Also in
2006, Marico acquired the Herbal Bath Soap brand Manjal from Oriental Extractions.
Marico's shareholders approved the amalgamation of Anandita Arnav Trading, Madhav Nandini Trading,
Rajvi Rishabh Trading and Rishabh Harsh Trading into the company in 2004. In the same year, the
company acquired the businesses of Kaya Skin Care and Sundari.
In 1990, the company took over an old consumer products business of The Bombay Oil Industries
Limited. In 1996, Marico was listed on the National Stock Exchange of India and Bombay Stock
Exchange.
