CRS ISSUE

The CRS for the aircraft is issued after completion of any maintenance.

1. CRS is not required for pre-flight checks. The CRS statement is included in Tech Log
2. CRS is required after any defect rectification.
3. CRS is required subsequent to carrying out any scheduled maintenance, unscheduled
maintenance, work order/call out completion or component replacements or MWS completion.
4. Any component that has been maintained off the aircraft at the shop level shall require a CA
Form 1 CRS.

Release to Service- Certifying Staff Responsibilities


Perform a final visual inspection of the aircraft /aircraft component as applicable.
Verify that all documents supplied for the accomplishment of the maintenance has been
duly completed and signed by concerned personnel.
For aircraft CRS- verify that all installed serviceable component has its FAA 8130-3/ Form
1/EASA FORM 1 and serviceable tag issued by the Stores Inspector.
Verify that all test results wherever applicable are satisfactory.
Verify that if any maintenance is deferred /cannot be accomplished is appropriately
mentioned in the tech log.
Note: An aircraft cannot be released with deferred defects/MEL defects from the main
maintenance base.
Verify that there is no non-compliance which is known that could seriously endanger flight
safety.
Verify that any AD/SB mentioned in the approved work order has been incorporated.
Verify that NO non-approved modification and/or repair have been incorporated.
Verify that all inspection items are accomplished and certified.
Verify that all tools, spares, consumables, and equipments used during the course of
maintenance have been properly accounted for and placed back at appropriate location, as
applicable.
The CRS/CA Form 1 shall be issued only after due verification of the above mentioned
items.
CRS shall be issued by personnel as stipulated in MEHAIR CAME .
In case of any ambiguity, the manufacturers maintenance manual to be taken as the
authority.
