Subject: Land Use Plan & Mobility Plan

Mayor Garcia and Council Members,

After careful consideration of the work being done on the rewrite of the Land Use
Plan and specifically the Placetype maps I am providing input on concerns
with the Mobility Plan as it supports the Land Use Plan.

Originally this project targeted major traffic corridors with planned increases in
the allowable heights of buildings. The increases in the planned building heights
are now affecting all neighborhoods regardless of whether the streets are within
the definition of a traffic corridor. Traffic congestion and more pollution are a likely
outcome to the proposed increase in density across our city. SB375 was
designed to reduce fossil fuel emissions, not to increase them.

The Mobility Plan should set out realistic solutions that mitigate the increase in
traffic that is sure to be a part of our future. Parking is another
issue not addressed.

I appreciate your time and consideration in reviewing the attached document.

Your attention and oversight of this effort is necessary to protect and improve the
quality of life in our city.

Sincerely,

Corliss Lee
