Objectives:
Make a bug in its environment using multiple stitches (couching, running, and running
stitch variations).
Identify, create and extend a repeating and growing pattern.
Distinguish symmetry from asymmetry.
Use a variety of lines - zigzag, dotted, wavy, and spiral lines
Introduce / Engage:
Session 1: Bugs on the complexity scale, PPT, and Challenge
Session 2: Demonstrations (threading, knotting), birdie story.
Session 3: Who can identify all the stitches on the exemplar?
Session 4: Textiles and stitchery as decorative art. See-Think-Wonder activity.
