Challenge: Stitch a picture of a bug in its environment.

Objectives:
Make a bug in its environment using multiple stitches (couching, running, and running
stitch variations).
Identify, create and extend a repeating and growing pattern.
Distinguish symmetry from asymmetry.
Use a variety of lines - zigzag, dotted, wavy, and spiral lines

Materials with dimensions:


9 x 12 pieces of white paper, crayon/chalk
10 x 10 pieces of burlap
Colored yarn, birdies, plastic jumbo eye needles
