Whole Opening (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)

Mini Plenary

Students will then introduce to the concept of a thousand. Teacher modelled counting a 4-
digit number using abacus. Students that are more able were instructed to complete a
question with four digit numbers.
