damlalarn yaratt alm eperlere doru tekrarlanan
elipslerle ifade edilir.

ile oluan glge etkisini glendirmek iin beyaz ve mat
olarak retilmesi uygun bulunmutur. 30x90 ebatlarndaki
karolar hem yatay, hem de dikey uygulanabilir. Blink serisinin
zemin kombinasyonu iin 60x60 beton antrasit karo uygun
bulunmu, zeminde kullanlacak koyu antrasit tonlarn, beyaz
karolar ve zerindeki glge etkilerini daha da vurgulayaca

CONCEPT
Blink was inspired by the elliptical expansion of water drops
on the surface. Each drop that hits on the water surface
creates its own small elliptical pond.
The relief pattern created by drops is enhanced and

repeated towards the edges of the ponds. Its production
in white and matte was considered appropriate in order to
reinforce the shade effect that is created by the waves at the
moment the drops meet the surface. 30x90 size tiles can

Green Buildings can be described as ecosystem sensitive buildings that are assessed starting from the land selection for their

ve DGNBdir (Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Nachhaltiges Bauen).
BREEAM: Breeam (The Building Research Establishments Environmental Assessment Method) sertifika sistemi,
dnyann nde gelen ilk evresel deerlendirme yntemidir ve ilk kez ngilterede 1990 ylnda BRE (Building Research
Establishment) tarafndan gelitirilmitir.
Breeamn Amac:
Binalarn yaam dngsnn evre zerindeki etkisini azaltmak,
Binalarn evresel faydalarna gre tannmasn salamak,
Binalar iin gvenilir bir evre etiketi salamak,
Srdrlebilir binalara olan talebi canlandrmak.
1990 ylnda kurulduundan beri 71 lkede 532 323 BREEAM sertifikal bina ve sertifikalandrma srecinde olan 2,212.804
bina bulunmaktadr (Aralk 2015). Trkiyede 22 tamamlanm proje bulunmaktadr (Austos 2015).

LEED: Amerikan Yeil Binalar Konseyi tarafndan ilk defa 1998de binalar sertifikalandrmaya balayan LEED
deerlendirme sistemi, inaat sektrnn srdrlebilirlik konusunda kendisini gelitirmesi amacyla ortaya kmtr.
Amac, gnmzde inaat sektrnde kullanlan malzeme ve yntemlerin zamanla srdrlebilirlik prensipleri gzetilerek
deitirilmesi ve bu sayede doaya en az ekilde zarar veren binalarn yaplmasn salamaktr.

is the first leading environmental assessment method; it was first developed by BRE (Building Research Establishment) in
the UK in 1990.
Breeams Purpose:
To reduce the environmental impact of building lifecycles
To facilitate recognition of buildings according to their environmental benefits
To provide a reliable environmental label for buildings
To stimulate demand for sustainable buildings
Since its founding in 1990, there are 532,323 BREEAM certificated buildings in 71 countries and 2,212.804 building in the
process of certification (December 2015). There are 22 defined projects in Turkey (August 2015).
Scoring is performed in 10 main categories according to BREEAM:
Building Management Transportation

Heath and Wellbeing Material
Energy Waste
Water Pollution
Land Usage and Ecology Innovation
Each main topic is weighted according to the respective countrys or geographical conditions. In Europe, building
management is weighted at 12%; health and wellbeing at 15%; energy at 19%; transportation at 8%; water at 6%; materials
at 12,5%; waste at 7,5%; land usage and ecology at 10%; pollution at 10%; and, innovation at 10%. This method used by
BREEAM makes it more advantageous in regards to adaptation in different countries and regions, compared to other
methods.
LEED: The LEED assessment system, which started to certificate buildings in 1998, was developed by the American
Green Buildings Council with the purpose of improving the construction sector in the field of sustainability. Its goal is to
change the materials and methods used in the construction sector today by considering sustainability principles and to
construct buildings with a minimum impact on nature.
Leed / Scoring in this system is performed in 6 categories:

Sustainable Land (14 points)
Water Usage Efficiency (5 points)
Energy and Atmosphere (17 points)
Materials and Resources (13 points)
Indoor Air Quality (15 points)
Innovation and Design (4 points)
Also 1 point is awarded by using a LEED certification professional during the design phase.
DGNB: It is a system designed for the planning and assessment of buildings. As a classification system, it covers all
sustainable building topics. Projects complying with the conditions are classified according to bronze, silver or gold
categories.

Thanks to the EPD certifications awarded for floor, wall and porcelain tiles in 2014, Seranit Group helps green buildings
to receive additional points.
Seranit, calculating environmental impacts of all 3 product groups according to the ISO 14044 as a result of EPD studies,
published the 3. party approved declarations, Seranit Group used Metsims Sustainability Consulting services to analyze
not only carbon footprint but also many environmental impacts like ozone layer consumption, acidification, eutrophication
during end-to-end life cycle and published them all on EPD documents. Hence, it helps in rewarding Green Buildings in
which Seranit Group floor, wall and porcelain tiles are used.
Porcelain Tiles: Porcelain Tiles are similar to natural stones due to the various colored beads added to the mix
during the baking process. They are more durable than floor and wall tiles. That is why they are widely used in outdoor
spaces. They dont absorb water. They are offered on demand, as matte or shiny.
Wall Tiles: Wall tiles are lighter than floor tiles. As they are baked at lower temperatures, they may absorb more
water. That is why they have a lower impact strength than floor tiles. They are suitable for indoor use. Do not use them
on the floor. Ceramics are healthy, as they are made of natural materials through natural methods, and are known as
products that have of an impact on the environment.
Floor Tiles: They are baked at very high temperatures. That is why they are harder and more durable than wall tiles;
they can be easily used on walls, if desired. They have a high impact strength. They are heavier than wall tiles. They have
a very high load carrying capacity. Ceramics are healthy, as they are made of natural materials through natural methods,
and are known as products that have of an impact on the environment. .
Seranit Porselen helps in receiving the points indicated above for green buildings in the LEED, BREEAM and DGNB
certification systems through its EPD certificated floor tile products that are in compliance with European Construction
Material Regulations and therefore preferred.
