Cutting: Preshrink fabrie if necessary. Fold fabric doubie, right sides together, unless otherwise indicated. Place
all pattern pieces with the arraw grainline in the same direction as your fabric. Be sure to place pattern pieces
with the streteh of fabric as marked on the pattern, Before removing the pattem pieces from the fabric, wanster
all markings
Sewing; Serger (oreriock) machine is best. Hawaver » standard sewing machine with elther an averiock stitch or #
arrow zigzag width ard a medium stitch length will work also, you will then need to overcast your cearns with a
wide zigzag stitch.
Hemming: to topstitch hems, use a wide zigzag on standard machine or topstitch with a double neadie. Sem hem
at bottom casing and 12mm hem for sleeves.
‘Seam Allowance: 1/4" (Gmm} seam allowance included for all seams, except battam ham.
‘CONSTRUCTION:
1. Using standard sewing machine, stitch batween small dots on pattern,
Note: 1 side only marked on the pattern!
2. Now using sergay, stitch front and beck, right sides together at the side eurves.
Note: stop serger at the natch marked on the pattern near dots,
3. Press the seam flat at the opened side.
4 BOTTOM HEM FOR CASING
Feld under 20mm hem. Press and stitch
5. SLEEVE HEMS
Fold under 12mm ham. Prass end stitch
6 NECKBAND
“The length of neckband is dependant on the amount of stretch in the fabric you have chosen,
My neckband length is §02mm x 32mm for all sires §, M4 L. Cut a neekeband at this size or measure
the neckband distance with a measuring tape, usually the langth is 2/3 of the neck measurement.
Fold neckband, right sides together and stitch centre back seam
Press seam allowances open.
Fold neckband in halt, wrong sides fecing and matehing vaw edges. Press.
Divide the neckband into fourths and mark with gins.
Divide the neckline on toe inte fourths and mark with pins,
Starting at the notched side, pin neckband to neckline, right sides and raw edges facing,
‘matching all d sections of pins.
Stitch.
(Overcast, so neckband sits fst

Make @ tie abaut 120em x 3em,
Fold tie, right sides together and stitch on the lang side.
‘Secure a large needia to one end and weave through the inside of tie, pulling right side of tie out.
This fs your tie to be weaved through casing at bottom sige opening,
At desired gather, knot the tie together and cut ends close to knot, If using cotton fabric the ends
