For my most recent observation, Ms. Smalley planned a science experiment for the young learners. The lesson was thoughtfully
planned and then implemented well. Children were excited about learning and gained valuable experiences to help them understand the
physical science concepts of "sink or float". Ms. Smalley continually considers effective ways to help children understand the content in
meaningful ways. Lessons are student-centered and hands-on.

Ms. Smalley promotes a positive learning environment. She is a caring teacher who has high expectations for student learning. Her high
quality lessons are the best classroom management she provides because children are on task and are being appropriately challenges
through the learning activities. She continues to learn best strategies for involving movement and kinesthetic learning which is critical at
the primary level.
