Objectives:
Students will be able to-
Identify human and physical characteristics of their community

Resources:
Ability to walk around school

Lesson Development:
Intro- quickly review human and physical characteristics from the past two days

Activity- today students will complete a nature/school walk to identify human and physical
characteristics in their community. Students may work in pairs and should identify at least 5 of
each.
I do- I will model and share with students the characteristics I found on my nature walk around
my neighborhood.
We do- Together, we will brainstorm human and physical characteristics you might see
walking/driving around Raleigh.
You do- We will go outside and students will work with one other student to identify human
and physical characteristics they see around our school.

Closure- students will share with another partner group what they found and their partner
group will share with class.
