BODY COMPOSITION
Instructions:

Each test should be conducted each quarter. Students are expected to participate in each test all four
quarters. At the end of the year, the student will reflect on their results over the course of the year for
each test.

Tests Performed:

Body Mass Index (BMI) This test measures body composition. BMI is calculated by taking a persons
weight and diving by their height squared.

Resting/Target Heart Rate This test measures. To calculate, find your pulse and count the number of
beats for 10 seconds. Multiply the beats by 6 to find beats/minute.

Water Intake By determining the average number of glasses of water you drink in a day, you can help
understand if you are properly hydrating your body.
