Introduction

What do you usually do with a cardboard box once youre done with it? If you throw it out or
recycle it, youre really missing out on its hidden potential.

Cardboard is a ubiquitous packaging material, especially if, like me, you order a lot of things
from the internet. Cardboard can be bent, cut, painted, wrapped, and configured in almost any way you
can imagine. You could let those cardboard boxes, supports, and more stack up until you head to the
recycling place...or you could put them to use, getting a few more rounds of creative use out of them
before you finally send them off into that good night.

Objectives

Filing and organizing

It just so happens that many cardboard boxes are the perfect size for filing. You could buy expensive
boxes at the office supply store or you could use cardboard. Handily, these boxes stack and are easy to
label if you have materials that need to be stored, including school papers that might get hard to manage if
you have large archives of photocopies, printed documents, test papers and others.

Reduce wastes
Even if you dont pay for garbage service, reducing the amount of waste you generate ought to perk up
your ears, because it makes a big difference to the environment.

Materials:
Cardboard (preferably corrugated ones)
Glue stick & glue gun
Cutter
Ruler

Procedures:

1. Gather all the materials you needed.

2. Make a plan according to your desired length, size and shape from the framework of the body and
the drawer in order to guide you during the making.

3. Cut the cardboard according to your plan.

4. Now put together the cardboards that you just cut using the glue stick. Guide yourself according
to your plan.
5. Make the drawer according to your plan.

6. Make necessary adjustments in fitting the drawer.

7. Beautify your project using paints and decorations.

8. Enjoy your new file organizer!

Recycling has become such a ubiquitous part of modern society that it's hard to remember a time
when all materials were disposed of in the same bin. But while the act of recycling is important, we must
remember that it's the third on the list of ways to reduce your waste. The popular adage of "reduce, reuse,
recycle" is ordered that way for a reason. The best way to help the environment is by reducing the amount
of waste. Reusing is No. 2 ahead of throwing things into a recycling bin, and as it turns out, it can also be
the most fun way to live an environmentally friendly life. One person's trash may be another's
treasure, but in the case of these crafty idea, one person's recycling can be your next art project.
