Rhetorical knowledge focuses on what the audience's viewpoint/ understanding of the

topic is and this plays a very vital role in your ability to be a good writer and to have what you're

writing have a greater impact and meaning to your reader. For my semester long multimodal

project I have incorporated and used rhetorical knowledge throughout it all. I consider what the

average reader may already know about my topic and what information they might not

understand to build a basis of knowledge for them as well as learning something new. In the

daily writing prompts they often would ask for our personal opinion on things and that made me

want to research more into the specific topic of the prompt so that I could understand it more to

form a better and more educated opinion on what I was writing about. This also caused me to

think about what I would incorporate into my multimodal project to get a similar response from

my audience that I had to the daily writing prompts and even the studios that made me want to

dig deeper into the information myself. What caused me to dig the deepest is actually these

writing prompts, they made me think about what I was writing as well as what I already knew

about what I was writing as well as what more I needed to learn to complete the task adequately

and even help the audience learn more as well and It has helped to enhance my critical thinking

skills and taught me the importance of using them to the best of your ability.
