I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the 48-minute discussion, the students should be expected to:

recall the previous topic on the six tenses of the verbssimple tenses and perfect tenses;
demonstrate good behavior during the checking of papers; and,
answer the questions orally during the checking of daily quiz and assignments.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

Topic: Verb Tenses

Time allotment: 48 minutes
Instructional Materials: Manila Paper, Pentel Pen, Cartolina

III. PROCEDURE

A. Motivation

The teacher will greet the students and ask them if they have taken their breakfast.
The teacher will check the readiness of the students and begin to initiate an ice-breaker to
energize the students.
Later on, the students will be asked about the previous discussion on Verb Tenses and what they
have recalled.

B. Presentation

The teacher will proceed to initiate the checking of papers and manage the order in the class.
While checking the paper, the teacher will let the entire class answer the questions orally
The teacher will provide additional explanations on the subject under consideration.

C. Analysis

What have you found about the differences between Progressive Tenses and Perfect Tenses?
What is your observation about the number of auxiliary verbs that are used in Progressive
Tenses compare to Simple Tenses?

D. Abstraction

The students will be asked to reiterate about the knowledge they have learned so far on Verb
Tenses.

E. Practices
While checking the papers, the students will be asked to go into the board and write the correct
verb tenses required.

IV. Assessment/Evaluation

No quiz will be given by the teacher.
