e NABLE Measurement Guide

In order for e-NABLE to be better able to assist, we will be needing some basic information about the
i recipient as well as a series of photos to have a better understanding of the type of device that might
be best suited. We will require these to gauge sizing and range of motion. The following is a guide on
how to provide the required information.

You will be needing a pen, a camera, a ruler or Draw lines around both wrists and elbows

Photos of the subject in three different postures will be needed. Please note the following for each:
i 1. All pictures should include the entire forearm, including the elbow.
2. All pictures should be taken from directly above the forearms and not at an angle.
3. All pictures require a ruler or equivalent reference measurement scale.

Have the subject lay both arms on a flat surface with the ruler parallel and in the middle
1 of both arms. Take the photo as shown.

2 Have the subject fold the hands inwards
as much as possible and take the photo.
3 Have the subject fold the hands outward as
much as possible and take the photo.




Please provide additional information regarding the motion of the wrist, associated pain or anything
Q affecting motion of the limb. The provided gauntlet will require motion at the wrist. It will be
calibrated as well as possible to generate the clasping motion properly during use.
