The drawworks main parts are

The power starts at the DC-motors or the Engine carrier and then to input shaft and
from input shaft to output shaft where we can select between two different speeds on
the output shaft. And then from the output shaft to main drum shaft and sand line shaft
by means of chains and sprockets.
After that you can choose to engage the low speed clutch(more pulling power for heavy
weights)or engage the high speed clutch (less pulling power)
One oil pump is coupled by a chain to the input shaft to lubricate the chains
The wire grooved drum sometimes cant arrange two layers of wire in correct order in
that case we must install
-kicker plate :a welded part in certain location on the sides of the drum that hits the
wire in place for the next lay of wire rope
