Dear Public Relations:

While doing some research into rice, I discovered a strain called Carolina Gold, which I then
learned that your company has a brand with the same name. Although after further research I
learned your product has nothing to do with the aforementioned strain but was instead nothing
more than parboiled rice. Which I feel is a blatant misrepresentation of your product designed to
cash in on an older generations nostalgia. While your other line of products are honest of the
content Carolina Gold is a stain on your otherwise great line up of rice.

Misinformation
I would request that your company ceases its series of misinformation, but I recognize that
as company brand recognition is vital to your survival and the removal of one of your major products
would wreak havoc on your profit margins. A valid alternative is to instead simply place a small blurb
distinguishing from the classical Carolina Gold on the package, you can continue you campaign of
confusion and those observant of the packaging will be able to avoid it.

Expanded Distribution
Instead of listening to the above suggestion you could change your product to what it
claims to be by getting in touch with Carolina Plantation Rice and begin distributing genuine Carolina
Gold. I feel this option would please the most by appeasing to those looking for what your label
claims.

Sincerely,
Justin Henry
