HEAD COACH FRED HOIBERG
Named the 19th head coach in Bulls history on June 2, 2015 the fourth Bulls head coach to post a winning record in his inaugural season with
the team (42-40) the only current head coach in the NBA who played in the league, worked in the front office of an NBA team and was also the
head coach of a Division I program in the 2017 postseason, Hoiberg became the fifth coach in NBA history to have his first two career playoff
victories on the road (George Lee, Randy Pfund, Jeff Van Gundy, Randy Wittman) additionally, the Hoiberg-coached squad was the first eight
seed to start 2-0 against a one seed since the 1993 Lakers, and it marked the first time the Bulls won the first two games of a series on the road
since 1993 against the Suns prior to Chicago, he served as Head Coach at his alma mater, Iowa State during five seasons at the helm of
the Cyclones, his teams were nationally ranked on a perennial basis, as they posted a record of 115-56 (.673), highlighted by four consecutive
trips to the NCAA Tournament (2012-15) and two Big 12 Conference Tournament Championships (2014, 2015) he was named Big 12 Co-
Coach of the Year in 2012 prior to his term with the Cyclones, worked four seasons in the front office of the Timberwolves as an executive with Minnesota,

Draft, Hoiberg played in 541 regular season games, where he posted 5.4 ppg, 2.7 rpg and 1.6 rpg in 18.4 mpg he was a member of three playoff teams and
appeared in 24 playoff contests while with Minnesota in 2004-05, he led the NBA in 3-point field goal percentage (.483) he had his No. 32 retired by Iowa State
in 1997 was inducted into the Iowa State Letterwinners Hall of Fame in 2005 in 2008, he was honored as part of the programs All-Century Team inducted
into the CoSIDA Academic All-America Hall of Fame in 2016.
