The Grizzlies embark on a two-city, three-game road trip, beginning with the team’s second matchup in a week against
the Cleveland Cavaliers, who defeated the Grizzlies 94-90 on Jan. 7 at FedExForum.
Memphis is the only team (as of Saturday, Jan. 9) to rank inside the NBA Top 10 in points off turnovers (19.9, 6 th),
second chance points (15.3, 3rd), fast break points (16.0, 8th) and points in the paint (50.9, 6th).
Tyus Jones posted his first double-double as a member of the Grizzlies (sixth career double-double) with 11 points
and 10 assists in Friday’s 115-110 win over Brooklyn… Jones also added a season-high four steals, increasing his
average to 1.44 steals per game this season.
Dillon Brooks scored a season-high tying 24 points in Friday’s win over the Nets… Brooks has scored 20+ points in all
three of Memphis’ wins this season and under 20 in all six losses.
Friday’s win over Brooklyn snapped a 36-game losing streak for the Grizzlies in games where they shot a lower field
goal percentage than their opponent… The previous time Memphis won despite shooting a lower field goal percentage
was on April 10, 2019 vs. Golden State.

RECAP: Dillon Brooks and Ja Morant led one of the most-proficient team scoring performances in franchise history as the Memphis Grizzlies earned their second win of the season against the Minnesota
Timberwolves… Brooks scored 31 points, his second career 30-point effort, and Morant added 26 points to go with four rebounds and four assists in 26 minutes to help the Grizzlies post the second-
highest single-game scoring total in club history (144 points on Jan. 3, 2007 vs. Golden State) while shooting season highs from the field (.568) and from three-point range (.522)… Memphis also recorded
a season-high 34 assists… For the first time this season, the Grizzlies outscored their opponent in the second half (65-57) with Brooks and Morant leading the way in the fourth quarter… Brooks scored
16 points in the fourth, including all 10 Grizzlies points during a 10-2 run that gave Memphis a 120-110 lead with 6:37 remaining… Morant scored 14 points in the final frame for his third consecutive 20-
point game, the longest such streak by a Grizzlies rookie since O.J. Mayo (four straight) in April 2009… Brandon Clarke had a career-high 18 points on perfect shooting (7-7 FG, 4-4 FT) in 22 minutes off

RECAP: Plagued by injuries, illness and foul trouble, the shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies nevertheless snapped a six-game losing streak and clinched the three-game season series with the Minnesota
Timberwolves… Without Ja Morant (back soreness), Jonas Valanciunas (illness) and Kyle Anderson (right heel soreness), Memphis had only 11 available players, a number that was further diminished
with Brandon Clarke (left hip soreness) departing after 10 minutes and Jaren Jackson Jr. in foul trouble… Dillon Brooks scored 26 points to lead seven Grizzlies in double figures… Memphis improved to
5-0 this season when Brooks scores 20 points… Jae Crowder (12 points, 10 rebounds) and Bruno Caboclo (12 points, 13 rebounds, three steals) posted double-doubles… Grayson Allen had 13 points,
and Tyus Jones totaled 12 points starting in place of Morant… Brooks scored 20 points in the second half to help the Grizzlies score 38 in the third quarter and 67 after halftime… Minnesota scored 12
straight to take a 72-69 lead in the third quarter, but Memphis countered with a 10-0 run to retake a seven-point advantage… Karl-Anthony Towns had 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead Minnesota but
