Rationale Statement:

In my observation of observing a specific child, I realized there are many factors that play into a

child having success in the classroom. A students success is measured on how well he or she is
feeling. Developmentally Appropriate Teaching is key in order to ensure a students success. A

good teacher needs to adapt her style to every individual childs learning needs. Otherwise

misbehavior can occur due to boredom, or defiance once the child feels stressed. Practicing a

good fun climate of the classroom will further advance the students academic progress and

success once this relationship is established between the teacher and the student.

In connection to what I learned about teachers is that they are human and often make mistakes.

Especially, when a teacher has become burnt out. Every single time a student is not on task, or

interrupts without raising their hand, the more you correct, and ridicule the child, the more

defiant the child becomes. I learned that teachers need patience period. A little love will go a

longer way, rather than micro-manage every single thing the child is not doing right. A teacher

should emphasize more so on the childs strengths, rather than target their weakness.
