Please describe some of the most relevant and meaningful teaching ideas and strategies

that you've gleaned thus far in this course.

The most meaningful teaching idea that weve seemed to keep in mind this semester so

far that ive enjoyed is the idea of understanding your students to better teach them, as well as

backwards design. I can relate to having a better understanding of material when the teacher can

change the plan of teaching to help me specifically to understand the material which of course I

wasnt the only one who could get a better understanding of it when the teacher changed it. I

also dont want my students to think that asking questions is a bad thing or repeating a step. I feel

that in our small class we all really want whats best for our students and are committed to being

students with the students always learning and adapting to change. Thats one of the themes I

feel we can get from most of your readings, is that we need to adapt to each student and be the

most effective utilizing different tools.

Also backwards design from Wiggins will definitely help me with creating lesson plans and

projects for students that can relate to the standards that I need to teach. It not only applies to

just creating lesson plans but for creating goals, planning, etc. So I using it to plan the classroom

lesson plans to keep the big idea in mind while going through the separated lessons and executing

the goals them. It just seems like the best approach to keep things orderly and planned. But I feel

those have been the most meaningful to me on my path to becoming an educator.
