On preparing a Lesson Plan

In preparing my lesson plan my goals are first the objective must be Specific,
Measureable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-Bounded. As a future teacher SMART is the best
thing to be consider in preparing our objectives because without it maybe the objectives
cannot be attain, the topic have the possibility it could not done, the students would suffer
difficulties in understanding and etc. Having a lesson plan or the purpose of the lesson is a
guide to the teacher. As I made the lesson plan it helps me a lot because during the actual
discussion it serve as my guide so that I could facilitate the class and I orderly give the flow of
the class discussion.

I made 3 lesson plans in different subject during the team teaching. If you question
why it so many, it is because each of us given different subject with different topic. As I made
the lesson plan I encounter same problems such as: What is the best word that I could used
for my adjectives? What are different activities and drill that I need to use? What are the
materials that help in my class discussion? Lastly, is this effective for my students? Those
questions are my problem in making a lesson plan because I need to consider it to make my
class discussion successful.

As I observe also I had difficulties in grammar because as my teacher check my lesson

plan I do had same mistake it is about grammatical error. It’s not too much but I consider it is
a big problem. To improve my written lesson plan I need to familiarize and learn more about
grammar. From the different difficulties that I experienced I need to improve it by thinking
critically, creatively and unique.

In making a lesson plan I don’t deviate from it. It because I do believe the format of the
lesson is really good enough to have a good discussion or I could say to have organized class
discussion. I do believe also that the people who made the format of the lesson plan are
expert from it. They know the things that need to consider in making of it, the important and
the proper sequence of it.

To those experienced teachers says that they can teach without a lesson plan slow clap
for them. I do believe that even experts teachers need a lesson plan in teaching. Maybe few of
the experts did not use a lesson plan but they study well the topic they need to discuss. For
those experienced teacher maybe they can teach without lesson plan but not as organized
and clearly as they use lesson plan. Experienced teacher need the lesson plan because we are
still learning and practicing to be a good and reliable teacher. There’s nothing wrong admitting
that we need a lesson plan as our guide because sometimes they says they don’t need it just
to impress others but the truth it’s hard for them Let’s be true to our self because the learning
of our students depend from us.
