And the Multitude with One Voice Spoke

Since America abolish slavery system already have hundred years or more, even

though America is the first democratic republic in the world, however, at the

beginning of the twentieth century, the civil rights of blacks were not quite clear, and

the discrimination behaviors of white people were still not diminished, without a

doubt and it is a problem in American history.

Dr. Martin Luther King grew up in a family in the south of the united states and

they are deeply racially by white people. He inspired by Gandhis non-violent

campaign during the Indian independence movement, make him use the title

direct military movement without force, when he campaigned for black citizenship,

and he became the voice of protest against racial discrimination, in Alabama in 1955

Montgomery city.

In 1963, Dr. King gave a touching speech I have a dream in front of the Lincoln

Memorial. At that time, over 250,000 African Americans gathered together to

participate this Washington event. In this speech Dr. King said: My dream is rooted

in the dream of the United States. I dreamed of the future of my children in a country

where the judgment of a person as an individual is no better than skin color. It is a

black and white girl who works together as a brother sister, countries that can walk
together. Through the television and other media, the speech made a sincere

speech to people all over the world.

Since then, the United States has re-enactment of the United States Citizenship

Act (James L. Hosay also write this part in the song the touching historical fact, he

added a number of intricate cadences to the song, symbolizing the intricacies of

people from different places at the same time, he also aggravated the part of the

percussion instrument to make the whole song even more revealing its rhythm.)

The song was commissioned by the band Duke Ellington school of art and was

commissioned by Wyman Jones on January 15, 1997, on the 68th anniversary of Dr.

Kings birthday.

Why I really care about this, first is I really like some composer use songs to tell

a story, and it is related to race, as an international student in America, I will face

many problem like those, so I really like to study some kind of these.
