Dear Mr./Ms. Reader,

I am very honoured to be given the opportunity to work with you this year!

Currently, I am in my third year at the University of Lethbridge working towards a BA/BEd in

Anthropology/Social Studies Education. My career goal is to become a high school Social Studies teacher based
in Alberta.

I have always had a passion for teaching, which is why I have been working with children from a very young
age. Over the last six years I have volunteered as an Educational Assistant, been a gymnastics coach and
currently tutor high school students part-time.

This spring I completed a Serving Communities Internship Program (SCiP), mentoring high school students at
the Lethbridge Boys and Girls Club. During the internship I tutored Social Studies and presented students with
options for their futures. This position further enhanced my communication abilities, mentoring and team
building skills. My experience as an Educational Assistant also allowed me to work with students with different
needs both collectively and individually. My most notable accomplishment has been obtaining a Highly
Recommended designation in my Education 2500 class, which enabled me to join the Faculty of Education in
my third year.

Having a solid educational background and a diverse working experience, I plan to bring a positive and
inspirational approach to teaching and look forward to contributing to the classroom.

Kind Regards,

Jessica Webb
