Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor

Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor was one of the famous actress that was in movies. When I

saw her on the list I notice that she looks like my mom and I found that very interesting. Then I

read her story; I thought that her story was very fascinating and I wanted to learn more about her,

how she came here, and how her life was like in America. What I find the most intriguing about

her life was that she didnt have a boring life. People would say that she was larger than life.

They say this because she was in at least 37 movies, she invested a lot of money into the finding

of the cure to AIDS, When she was getting interviewed by Good Housekeeping she said, "For

the first time in my life I am making my fame work for me in a positive way.... This [AIDS]

work means more to me than anything I've ever done as an actress." Its important that people

know her whole story and to know the other sides of her than just the acting career.

Elizabeth Taylor was one of the last major actress to come out of Hollywood Studios.

She was born February 27, 1932 in Hampstead, London, England. Elizabeth was born an English

subject, but her parents, Sara Sothern and Francis Lenn Taylor are from St. Louis Missouri.

They moved to England because her father and her mother were in the art business as art dealers.

The family had to leave England in 1939 due to the outbreak of World War II. England was

huge part of World War II they had to leave because of the bombings and the fighting. Elizabeth

came to America when she 7 years old. Elizabeth Taylor has a older brother named Howard

Taylor and he was 10 when they moved to America. Elizabeth and her brother left England with
her mother, her father stayed behind to finish the loose ends for the gallery. The family went to

live with Elizabeths grandmother for a while until they found a place, then the family relocated

to Los Angeles after the father came to America. Elizabeth went to University High School

which is located in Los Angeles. she was one of the many famous people to put in a lot of money

into the research to fight AIDS. She had a total of seven husbands, four of them died and, on

more than one occasion, saw the treatment of alcohol and drugs. She went to rehab for a while to

help. She went later to the hospital to get a tumor removed from her brain, which went well, but

she had to go back in to get another one removed as well.

Elizabeth started her acting career when one her family friend noticed how beautiful and

talented Elizabeth was and thought that they should get her some screen tests. She impressed

many production companies like Universal Studios, whom she had later signed with. The first

production that she was in, which was produced in 1942 was There's One Born Every Minutes.

After that movie they dropped her contract, but after, she got a contract from MGM Grand.

Elizabeths father new the Producer Sam Marx and he was looking for a young little girl to play

the role of Lassie. The first movie that she did with MGM Grand was Lassie Comes Home

which was produced in 1943. After that, she filmed 10 movies from 1943 through 1949. The

1950s is when she really got hired for important roles in movies and was in 5 movies from 1950

through 1956. Her famous movies that she is known for being in the movie Giant (1956). In

1958 she co-starred in a movie called Cat On A Hot Tin Roof and later got an Academy

Award for Best Actress for that movie. After all of that, she went on to act in even more

movies between 1963 to 1979.

She has a total of 3 kids named Liza Todd Burton, Christopher Edward Wilding, and

Michael Wilding Jr. Liza is now 60 years old and her father is Mike Todd. Liza has 2 kids

Rhys Tivey, Quinn Tivey. Lizas husband is Hap Tivey. Elizabeths son Christopher Edward

Wilding is 62 now, his father is Michael Wilding, he has 3 kids there names are Caleb Wilding,

other son Michael Wilding Jr. is now 64 years old, his father is also Michael Wilding, he has 3

In conclusion, I believe that Elizabeth life was not boring at all. She went from a little girl

in London to an Academy Award winner in America, to investing a lot of money to help cure

people with AIDS. She has been in a lot movies and inspired a lot of people. Some of the

movies that she was in are very famous, She has made an impression on all of us that have seen

her movies and is inspired by her to help to cure AIDS. I believe her story is worth telling

because she didnt live quietly, she lived thunderously, not afraid to do what she wanted to do or

love. She cared about the people she loved and cared about her job and the people that she was

helping with AIDS.
