2. The applications received in the prescribed form only shall be considered and
APDDCF Ltd., will not be responsible for postal loss or transit delays (in cases
where candidate send application directly to APDDCF Ltd., by speed post).
3. If applications are not in prescribed proforma or incomplete in any respect like
without photograph of the candidate on the application or without supporting
documents or received after prescribed closing date for any reason what so ever
such applications will be summarily rejected.

5. The candidate should not furnish any particulars that are false or fabricate
information or suppress any material information while filling up the application
form. Detection of such irregularity renders the candidature liable for rejection.
The decision of the Board of APDDCF Ltd., is final.
6. All the certificates issued by the competent authority should compulsorily be
kept with the candidates to be produced as and when required.
7. Incomplete application and applications received without supporting documents
will not be considered.
NOTE ON IMPORTANT LEGAL PROVISIONS GOVERNINGTHE RECRUITMENT
PROCESS
1. The recruitment will be made to the vacancies notified only and processed as
per the APDDCF Ltd., Service Rules & Regulations and norms fixed by the
Management of APDDCF Ltd.,
2. Caste / Community certificate issued by the competent authority i.e. MRO /
Thahsildar / RDO / Sub-Collector will only be accepted. BCs / SCs / STs belonging
to other States are not entitled for reservation.
3. Zonal / Local: In terms of para 8 of the G.O.AP Public Employment
( Organization of Local Cadres and Regulations of Direct Recruitment) Order
1975 (G.O.Ms.No. 674, GA (SPF – A) Department, dated 07-03-2002, and other
orders / Instructions issued by the Government in this regard 70% of posts are to
be filled by local cadre candidates and remaining 30% of posts are open for
which local and non-local are to be considered on the basis of combined merit
list (see Definition of Local candidate).
4. The reservation to Women will apply as per General Rules and Special Rules.
5. The Management of APDDCF is empowered to conduct examination / interview
for appointment to the posts notified herein and recruit the candidates as per
norms fixed.
6. The persons already in Government Service / Autonomous bodies / Government
aided institutions etc., whether in permanent or temporary capacity or as work
charged employees are however required to inform in writing, to their Head
Office / Department that they have applied for his recruitment.

7. The candidates belongs and claiming to be Backward Classes Group – E may
apply indicating their community as BC –E However, providing reservation to BC
–E group will be subject to the adjudications of the litigation pending before the
Hon’ble Court.
8. Government has issued orders in the G.O.Ms.No. 3 Backward Classes Welfare (C-
2) Department, dated 04-04-2006, laying down the criteria to determine Creamy
Layer among backward classes in order to exclude from the provisions of
reservations. Government of Andhra Pradesh has adopted all the criteria to
determine the Creamy Layer among Backward Classes as fixed by the
Government of India. The Government have fixed the annual income limit at Rs.
4.00 lakhs, in view of the Government said orders candidates claiming as
belongs to Backward Classes have to produce a certificate from the competent
authority regarding their exclusion from the Creamy Layer at an appropriate
time.
9. Each applications must be accompanied by Demand Draft worth of Rs. 500 for
OCs, Rs. 200 for OBCs, Rs.100/- for SC/ST drawn in favour of Managing
Director, APDDCF Ltd., Lalapet, Hyderabad, PC (Physically Challenged) are
exempted from fees.

10. DEFINITION OF LOCAL CANDIDATE:


i. “Local Candidate” means a candidate for direct recruitment to any post relation
to that local area where he / she has studied in educational institution (s) for not
less than four consecutive academic years prior to and including the year in
which he /she appeared for SSC or its equivalent examination. If however, he /
she has not studied in any educational institute during the above four years
period, it is enough if he /she has resided in that which is claimed as his / her
area during the above said period.
ii. In case the candidate does not fall within the scope of the (i) above it will be
considered if he / she has studied for a period of not less than seven years prior
to and inclusive of the year in which he / she has studied for the maximum
period out of the said period of seven years AND where the period of his / her
study in two or more local areas are equal such local area where he / she has
studied last (in such local area) will be taken for determining the local
candidature. Similarly, if he / she has not studied during the above said period in
any Educational Institution (s) the place of residence during the above period will
be taken into consideration and local candidature determined with reference to
the maximum period of residence or in the case of equal period where he / she
has resided last.
iii. If the claim for local candidature is based on study, the candidate is required to
produced a certificate from the Educational Institution (s) where he /she was
studied during the said 4/7 years period. If, however, it is based on residence, a
certificate should be obtained from an officer of the Revenue Department not
below the rank of a Mandal Revenue Officer in independent charge of a Mandal.
iv. If, However, a candidate has resided in more than one Mandal during the
relevant four / seven years period but within the same District or Zone as the
case may be separate certificates from the Mandal Revenue Officers exercising
jurisdiction have to be obtained in respect of different areas.
PROCEDURE OF SELECTION:
1. The selection of candidates for appointment to the posts will be made in two
successive stages viz.
I. Written examination (Objective type) in English – 90 Marks
The written test consist of
(a) Concerned Subject – 45 Marks,
(b) Logical Reasoning – 15 Marks
(c) Quantitative Aptitude – 15 Marks
(d) General English – 15 Marks
II. Oral test in the shape of interview - 10 Marks
(*) NOTE: There is no written test for the post of Boiler Operator Gr.II.

2. The Final Selection of these posts will be based on the written and oral marks put
together in order of merit.
3. Only those candidates who qualify in written examination by being ranked high
will be called for oral interview in 1:3 ratio. The minimum marks are 40% for OC;
35% for BCs & 30% for SC / ST / PC. The minimum qualifying marks are
relaxable in case of BC / SC / ST / PC on the discretion of Board of APDDCF Ltd.,
4. Absence in any above test will automatically render his candidature as
disqualified.
5. The candidates have to produce Original documents and other particulars for
verification as and when required and called for. If the particulars furnished in
the application do not tally with the original documents produced by the
candidate, the candidates will be rejected.
6. The appointment of selection candidates will be subject to their being found
medically fit in the appropriate medical classification.
7. The selected candidates will have to execute a bond of Rs. 100/- on non-judicial
stamped paper stating that he has to serve the organization for a period of
minimum one year failing which the total emoluments drawn during the year
will be remitted back to the Federation if he left the organization within period of
one year
8. The decision of the Management of APDDCF Ltd., in all aspects and all respects
pertaining to the application and its acceptance or rejection as the case may be,
conduct of examination and at all consequent stages culminating in the selection
or otherwise of any candidate shall be final in all respects and binding on all
concerned. The Management of APDDCF Ltd., also reserves its rights to alter and
modify regarding time and conditions laid down in the notification for conducting
the various stages up to selection, duly intimating details thereof to all
concerned, as warranted by any unforeseen circumstances arising during the
course of this process, or as deemed necessary by the APDDCF Ltd., at any
stage.

(a)A Second Class Boiler attendant shall Clearly understand the


following:

 The working and management of steam boilers and economizers;


 The use and purpose of the various valves, cocks, mountings and fittings
 The precautions to be taken and procedure to be observed before starting fire
and when raising steam
 The use of a feed pump and injector
 The reading of pressure gauge
 The need for periodical cleaning and pure water supply and for prevention of
scale or other deposits on heating surfaces
 The need for periodical inspection of boilers and the manner in which they
should be prepared for thorough inspection, hydraulic test and steam test
 The precaution to be taken before entering or allowing any person to enter a
boiler that is connected to another boiler under steam
 The use of the best means of firing for the prevention of smoke
 The danger of water logging in steam pipes and the precautions to be
observed in draining

 The procedure to be followed in the event of shortage of water, bulging or


fracture of furnaces or flat plates or bursting of tubes or of any accident to a
boiler or steam pipe

 Precautions to be taken when starting an economizer into commission and


also to put it out of commission while the boiler is on steam

 To stoke a boiler including cleaning and banking fires in a workman-like

 To show how avoidable smoke may be prevented

test cocks
