Thank you for your interest in this year’s Sleepy Hollow Psychic Fair & New Age Bazaar! Each
year, over 100,000 visitors come to Sleepy Hollow. Among some of the most popular activities
during the month of October, is the annual Sleepy Hollow Psychic Fair & New Age Bazaar! Each
year, people come to the fair to have their readings done by a seasoned, professional psychic.
We work with the best psychics in the community.

Psychic Fair FAQ


Please read these FAQ prior to completing your application!
Where is the Psychic Fair Held?
Our annual Psychic Fair & New Age Bazaar is being held at La Quinta Inn & Suites 540 Saw Mill
River Road Elmsford, New York, just minutes away from downtown Tarrytown and the Village
of Sleepy Hollow.

What Are the Hours of the Fair?


The Fair opens at 10AM and closes at 7pm both days. Readers may begin at the start of the
event.

How Do I Submit My Availability?


Availability is a crucial factor in our consideration. We only accept a certain number of psychics
each year. This document contains a form to submit your availability. Readers should plan to
work both days of the Fair. All readers are required to complete a W-9 form prior to the date of
the fair. Another wonderful opportunity for readers is at the Sleepy Hollow Witches’ Halloween
Ball on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Readers at the ball are paid $50 plus tips to appear from
7PM to- 11PM. Your choice to read at the after-party is optional, but we only accept a limited
number of readers for this event.

How/When Am I Paid?
 The Psychics Coordinator manages all schedules and payment.
 Readers are paid at the close of the event.
 Readings are pre-purchased by the client in 20 minute increments. Readings that run
beyond 20 minutes are charged $4/per minute thereafter. It is the Psychic’s
responsibility to keep track of the duration of their readings, so that they are paid
accordingly for their time.
 Clients must present a ticket to each reader before sitting down for their reading. At the
close of each day, Psychics are to present the tickets collected from clients to the
Psychics Coordinator for remittance of payment.
 For each 20 minute reading, psychics are paid $20.
 Each psychic must complete a W-9 form and turn it in no later than the first day of the
Fair in order to receive payment.

Is There a Fee to Work at the Fair?


To work at the Fair, you must pay $50 fee that covers the advertising of your services by
our street team. Each psychic has a 4x6” full color, glossy marketing card made up for
them to promote their services at the fair.

What Items Does the Fair Provide?


 A square or round table.
 Two chairs (three if needed for a couple’s reading)
 Soft music in the background
 Promotion of the Fair in the months leading up to the event including flyers, marketing
cards and other promotional materials distributed by our street teams.
 Additionally, it is important to know that the Fair itself is also lined with vendors, adding
interest for guests and psychics.
 Absolutely NO PSYCHICS are permitted to read in the vendor area. All psychic readings
must be in the designated psychics area.

What Should I bring with Me?

 Any business cards or promotional materials you have designed to advertise yourself.
 Your divination tools (Pendulums, tarot cards, crystal balls, etc. )
 A tip jar. (Note: It is best to have a clear jar and set a bill no larger than $5-10 inside the
jar. Also, please don’t put the word “Tips” on your jar.)
 Any additional cloth/fabric or props you wish to decorate your table with.
 Psychics are also required to clean up their area at the end of each day of the fair. This
includes wrappers, food and beverages and such, as well as removing their cloths, props
and marketing materials.
 **NOTE** Due to allergies and potential fire hazards, psychics are not permitted to
burn candles or incense at their tables.

What Should I NOT Bring with Me to the Fair?


 Candles with a Wick. You may substitute with a battery operated candle.
 Incense (In case of allergies).
 Pets. We love animals, but the psychic fair isn’t an appropriate place for them. With the
exception of certified service animals, please otherwise make arrangements for your
furry companions outside of the fair.

For Psychics Traveling from Out of State or Out of Town:


Festival of Witches reserves room blocks at a discounted rate at the hotel for its readers and
vendors. Please contact the hotel no later than September 10th to reserve your room.

Registration payments are accepted by PayPal only, and only upon acceptance into
the event. If you are accepted, you will be given instructions on how to submit
your registration payment.

Witches’ Ball Psychics are required to be at the location
of the ball at 6:30PM and read from 7:00PM to 11:00PM.
Payment is $50 plus tips. It is your choice if you wish to
continue to do readings at the after party.
